Ok, so I'm a little behind

I've just been doing too much lately.  But, the new brakes are on, including rotors on the front, and pads all the way around.  Nothing major, but the slight squeeling has stopped. I noticed the ATE pads have a smaller contact patch than the ones that came off (Brand unknown). There is still plenty to be done, Fuel Filter, Shock Mounts, installing the new Bilsteins, etc.

I've been busy working on my photo editing service, and it's website. Maybe I can get it off the ground and have a little extra money coming in.

First Wave

Well, the FedEx guy just LOVED me, I got about a dozen packages all the same day....among them the new car parts. Today marked round one.

After getting started with the trunk emblem, and realizing it was 30°F and windy, I relocated to a warmer indoor situation. First order, Thermostat! Moved from a 71°C up to 80°C. Then Distributor cap & rotor....then came the less important issues, at least in today's plans:
New right and left grills, and a new antenna

The grills were a piece of cake. Had all new clips, although i reused most of the old ones, at least what i had of them. They look nice.....Black instead of faded gray.

Then to the new hirschmann antenna. Well, it looked all nice, but it's not in. Mounting is going to be a headache, but I can manage that. The included adapter wasn't the right one, so....since the mast seperated in (not intentionally) from the OEM unit, reinstalling wasn't exactly an option. Removed the old unit, slid the mast alone, without it's motor, back in place, hooked up the antenna cable...buttoned everything up and headed for a drive.

It's so nice to have an engine running at proper temperature. Heater works much better, and I'd imagine the engine is happier now, without so much sooting and such. I'll have to get out on the highway after a bottle of dipet and give her a good cleaning.

Next up is brakes, fuel filter, and that's probably it...maybe round 2 with the antenna.

Then it's the suspension........*groan*

WooHoo

New parts are slated to arrive tomorrow, all except the dash cover.

And there's a mysterious new scraping clunking kinda sound from the rear when going around corners....probably something in the trunk.

First Post (and hopefully not last)

Well, here it is.

My E30:
1991 325i Cabriolet, Maroon, added on hardtop (I love it) Clock stopped at 118k. Been that way since 2005, when I bought the car. Daily driver for a roughly 70 mile round trip to work.

Modifications (so far):
Very little modification, the most extreme being exhaust, which is now a 4" open pipe back to a single chamber FlowMaster. Yes, it's too loud, yes 4" is overkill, no, I didn't do it.

Needs:
Brakes
Grills
Thermostat (it's running too cold & the iron block doesn't like it)
Distributor/Rotor
Rear shock mounts (installing Bilsteins, waiting for mount upgrades)
New Antenna (OK, not a need, but a want.)
Something to cover the cracks in the dash
Lights in the 13 button OBC (going to hand-do LED's if I ever get the crappy after market radio out)

I just ordered $500+ worth of parts, thanks to a generous $1700 donation from an idiot trucker (no, all truckers aren't idiots) who backed into my car for zero reason instead of going forward through our entry gate at work.......why he went backwards 35 feet befuddles the world.

That's all that comes to mind.

I'll post pictures later......When the car isn't so filthy.
